WalletYa is a privacy-first finance tracker. We only collect the minimum necessary to deliver OCR and insights, keeping your financial data fully in your control.

Information We Collect

  • ✅ All transaction and receipt data—including spending amounts, income amounts, dates, and categories—is stored locally on your device.
  • ✅ The data stored consists of the results from the extract transaction process, such as expense and income amounts, dates, and categories.
  • ✅ This data is not linked to any user information, as WalletYa does not collect personal identifiers, account credentials, or require login.
  • ✅ Trusted third-party services used for image processing: OpenAI.
  • ✅ Your financial records remain private, fully in your control, and not connected to any identity.

Collection of Data

Data is collected solely to enable WalletYa’s core functionality: extracting financial transaction information from receipts to help you track your finances.

Use of Data

Extracted data is used to populate your personal finance records (expenses and incomes) within the app. We do not access, share, or analyze this data beyond your device.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third party except for image processing via OpenAI APIs. No personal data is included in these requests.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. It remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. We do not retain or sync your data externally.

Data Security

Image uploads use encrypted HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). Since all financial data remains on-device, there’s no risk of server-side breaches.

Your Rights

You can delete your data anytime by removing entries or uninstalling the app. Since there’s no account or login, we cannot recover your data or link it to your identity.

International Data Processing

OCR requests may be processed by OpenAI and Google Cloud Vision services, which operate globally and comply with international data protection standards (GDPR/CCPA).

Age Requirements

WalletYa is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated within the app.
